A Night At The Movies

Last night Mariah and I went to see High School Musical 3 with friends!  It was so much fun!  The movie was great(even for the moms).  We all had a really good time!  Mariah had been waiting for this day for a long time now and it was really nice to go with all the girls.

Chase came over to play yesterday with Luke.  They had so much fun together!  It use to be that they loved the "idea" of being each other's friend, but frankly just fought ALL of the time.  But those days are gone now.  That was such a long time ago (when they were like, two!). These days they get along great!  Almost too great!  I noticed yesterday that if you don't keep a close eye on them they could really get together and reek havoc!  One is the brains behind the operation and the other the brawn!  We are definitely going to have to watch out for those two!  Anyway, they played all kinds of fun "boy" stuff.  Like, soldiers...they were cracking each other up every time one of the soldiers "accidentally" fell off the cliff!  They watched Monster's Inc., played ball, took a walk and played dinosaurs.  But, my favorite was...the band!  They decided to make a band.  I asked them what their band was called and Luke said, "Me and Chase"!  Catchy name!  Thanks Chase for such a fun day!  We enjoyed having you over!

My Dad

I was thinking today how thankful I am for my dad!  He calls often through out the week just to see how we are.  He loves spending time with the kids.  He often has surprises for them and always makes the little ones giggle!  He has been such a great example for all of us with his positive attitude and joyful spirit(dispite his health concerns)!  Our lives are so much richer because he has been a part of them!  I'm feeling pretty  blessed to call him "Dad"!

Fun at School

Today Luke had a very fun day at school!  The firemen came to visit!  Luke was very excited when I picked him up.  He had a hat, a badge, and a coloring book.  He even said he thought he wanted to be a firemen (instead of Buzz Lightyear) for Halloween!

Okay...I took this picture while we were in Oak Glen this weekend.  I was taking pictures of the kids while we were there and when I took this one of Luke...I noticed the sign. Nice...

An Afternoon in Oak Glen

We went to Oak Glen yesterday afternoon!  It was good family time.  We walked through the little town, looked at all the vendors (and their yummy food) and got a Carmel apple.  There sure were alot of people there this weekend.  The line for the little pie shop wrapped around the building.  At one point I heard the lady announce that they had ran out of most of their pie selection and there were only a few left to choose from!  But, the weather was great and we all had a good time!

Luke's 4th Birthday!

Luke turned 4 years old today!  His day started with a breakfast birthday waffle!  Then he headed off to school.  He was very excited about this because he had special treats to pass out for his classmates.  He told me that they sang him Happy Birthday!  After I picked him up we went to birthday lunch.  When we got home Geoffery the Giraffe called to wish him "Happy Birthday"!  He really enjoyed that too!  He had this look of amazement on his face the whole time.  Next, we went down to Toys'r'us.  Luke belongs to the birthday club so they gave him a birthday crown, a balloon and a gift card!  He was on a mission to find a new watch(he lost his other one).  Check out his face when he did...he really wasn't that excited about it!  I wish he would have shown just a little more emotion! After that we went to Vince's for some birthday dinner and ice cream!  I think he had a good day!
