Where has the time gone?

Dylan turned 14 on Monday (sniff, sniff).  He is growing up too fast!  But we are enjoying watching him become the wonderful person that he is.  Here are some pictures from memory lane...and a few recent ones too!

We spent Easter with our families this year.  The day started with church at Sandels in Riverside.  This is where my brother and his family go.  It's a really great church and we enjoyed it!  The kids loved being there with their cousins.  Then we headed to Grandpa and Grandma Cash's house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.  It was a beautiful day to be outside too!  Later that evening we stopped at Grandpa and Grandma Rodriguez's house for dinner and another egg hunt!  Lucky kids...here are some pictures from our day.

Coffee with Friends

Heather, Kim, Noelle, Joy and Sharon

A high school friend of mine came in from Houston this past weekend.  We were able to get together and catch up.  It was great because I hadn't seen or talked to her for several years!  A few of our other friends were able to join us too.  It's been so great to reconnect with all of them!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game....

We went to the 66ers vs. the Quakes game on Friday night with Matt, Jen and the boys.  It was great!  They were handing out Dodger blankets to the first 2000 fans, so of course, we couldn't miss it!

Luke's First Tee Ball Game

Saturday morning was Luke's first Tee Ball game!  It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.  He hit the ball and ran straight for the pitcher!  LOL  Everyone was shouting, "Go to first...Run to first base!"  He eventually made it.  This is going to be a very fun season, full of some good laughs too, I think!  Our church league does praise cards at the end of each game to encourage the players and remind them all of how well they played their game that day.  Luke loved it.  He was so excited and very proud to get his card.  We went to lunch afterward and he talked all about how much he LOVED" baseball with a tee"!

I'm SO not ready for this....

Oh my goodness!  I thought kindergarten registration was hard.  But, I found something else to be even harder...HIGH SCHOOL orientation!  Last night Dylan and I went to the high school to get all of the information needed to start next school year.  As I watched him talking with the baseball coach and introducing himself I was reminded of how far we've come.  The time has passed so quickly.  Before we know it the next four years will be gone.  I was excited at the possibilities though!  There is so much that high school has to offer and I'm looking forward to seeing what God does in Dylan's life and how he uses him and who he becomes.  There are some big changes coming this year at our house...
